Typography
Hang Gliding Classes
Pilot progression
Launch Technique
Readable body text is the default. Avoid extreme jumps between very large and very small type.
Color
Orange rule: use orange as an accent, highlight, small border or occasional button detail — not as a large background behind dark text.
Spacing & page structure
Page header: compact, light background, 26–32 px vertical padding.
Content sections: generally 28–48 px vertical spacing; enough breathing room without creating unnecessary scrolling.
Desktop: use available width intelligently, including two-column layouts where it improves scanning.
Marketing pages: photography may be dramatic. Informational pages should remain calmer and easier to read.
Buttons & cards
Simple content card
Use restrained borders, little or no shadow, comfortable padding and normal readable text.
Design rules
- Keep normal body copy near 17 px on desktop.
- Avoid giant headlines on About, Classes, Study, Ground School and other informational pages.
- Do not use tiny labels as a major part of the information hierarchy.
- White and pale blue are the default content backgrounds.
- Orange is a complementary accent color, not the dominant field color.
- Use the Home page for stronger visual marketing moments; use the Ground School page as the readability reference for informational pages.
